Earlier in his career, Ken worked in-house with technology-focused organizations, including IBM and its infrastructure services spinoff, Kyndryl. In those roles, he led the management and strategic direction of large patent portfolios and partnered with engineering teams on patent application development. This experience informs his practical approach to client counseling, with a focus on aligning intellectual property strategy with product development timelines, operational priorities, and long-term commercialization goals.

Ken also has significant international experience from his time as counsel for a multinational company based in South Korea, where he supported cross-border business and intellectual property matters involving affiliates in Japan and other global markets. His work included participating in joint ventures and other complex commercial transactions, advising on dispute-related issues, and working with technical teams to assess patent risk and portfolio positioning. This experience enables him to advise clients on intellectual property strategy across multiple jurisdictions and business environments, including for technologies that combine scientific and software-driven elements.
