Vicki Zgodny

Vicki is a highly regarded litigator with experience in both government and the private sector. Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, intellectual property disputes, and civil rights defense. She is known for her keen ability to partner with clients, providing practical and creative solutions and counseling for their most complex litigation issues. She is enthusiastic about joining Maschoff Brennan and bringing her civil litigation experience to best serve the needs of her clients in patent, trademark, and other commercial and business litigation matters.  

Vicki is adept at handling all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, settlement negotiations, depositions, and trials. She previously served as lead counsel or second chair in 8 federal jury trials in New York. While she is a courtroom veteran, she is mindful that litigation is not the only path to resolving disputes, and she is also experienced at bringing matters to conclusion through negotiations, mediated settlements, and arbitration awards. To that end, Vicki is certified as a Mediator through the Utah Dispute Resolution program.

Prior to joining Maschoff Brennan, Vicki worked in New York City for seven years, representing the City of New York and agency officials in a variety of state and federal civil rights actions in state court and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She also taught students at Fordham Law School, where she lectured on a variety of subjects, including negotiations, client interviews, and client counseling.

When not in the office, Vicki enjoys spending time with her three kids, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and all things outdoors Park City has to offer.
