Brian is a registered patent attorney with an Electrical Engineering degree. Brian manages and prosecutes worldwide patent portfolios in the electrical and software arts, including analog and digital circuits, semiconductors, wireless communications, and client-server systems. He has substantial experience prosecuting patents for TSMC related to semiconductor processes and integrated circuits (ICs). For Fujitsu, Brian has prosecuted patents related to technology for artificial intelligence and analyzing software, and to hardware and protocols for 4G LTE architectures. He also worked with Arthrex to obtain orthopedic products and procedures patents and prepare opinions for new products. In addition, Brian assisted a start-up in developing a patent portfolio for a smart insulin delivery system.
Brian has extensive experience in providing technical litigation support, preparing opinions on patentability, non-infringement, validity, and invalidity, as well as experience handling post-grant review proceedings, including inter-partes reviews and reexamination proceedings.
