Jingzhi Hu

Jingzhi Hu is a Patent Agent with experience in patent preparation, prosecution, portfolio development, and intellectual property strategy across a wide range of technologies.

 Prior to joining Maschoff Brennan, Jingzhi practiced intellectual property law in China for more than seven years, representing clients in the semiconductor, artificial intelligence, medical device, electronics, and manufacturing industries. She has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and has extensive experience managing patent portfolios, responding to office actions, conducting patentability analyses, and supporting invalidity and freedom-to-operate matters.

Before entering the legal profession, Jingzhi worked as a semiconductor process engineer, where she conducted research and development of dielectric etch processes and collaborated with cross-functional engineering teams. Her engineering background provides practical insight into complex technologies and enables her to communicate effectively with inventors and technical stakeholders.

Jingzhi's technical experience includes semiconductor devices and fabrication processes, artificial intelligence, software, consumer electronics, medical devices, materials science, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

She earned a Master of Science in Materials Science from Beihang University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Chemistry from Central South University. She is licensed to practice law in China and has passed the USPTO Patent Bar Examination.
