Andrew’s deep experience in both local and global business operations affords him strong insight into the pivotal role of intellectual property, trade secrets, and copyrights in driving and protecting business success. As a litigator, he is a relentless advocate for protecting these valuable business assets.  Knowing that IP litigation is never one-size-fits-all, Andrew tailors his approach to each client’s unique challenges, pursuing the most effective path to safeguard their business interests.

Andrew earned degrees in Finance and Accounting from Utah State University before building his business acumen as a controller at an international investment bank. There, he honed his ability to dissect complex financial products, oversee multi-product P&L statements, and manage critical internal business reporting. This foundation sharpened his analytical skills and equipped him to navigate multifaceted issues in highly regulated environments with precision. Today, clients benefit from his understanding of the challenges businesses face and his ability to craft practical, effective solutions to overcome them.

Andrew received his Juris Doctor degree from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, also earning certificates in Business Law and Litigation and Dispute Resolution. While in law school, Andrew served as the President of the S.J. Quinney Federal Bar Association student chapter where he worked with students, professionals, and federal judges to promote legal advocacy. Andrew also participated in multiple moot court competitions, winning the S.J. Quinney Traynor Moot Court competition and competing in the New York Bar Association’s 75th Annual National Moot Court Competition.

While in law school, Andrew served as a judicial extern for Justice Paige Petersen of the Utah Supreme Court, and as an extern for the Federal Prisoner Litigation Unit of the United States District Court for the District of Utah.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys building Legos with his children and crafting new root beer recipes.  His creative approach to constructing robots and perfecting flavors reflects the same curiosity he brings to his legal practice, always striving for fresh ideas and solutions.
