Parker Bodily

Parker Bodily’s practice spans patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation, giving him a broad perspective on helping clients protect, enforce, and navigate intellectual property rights.

Parker earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as an editor of the Houston Journal of International Law. During law school, he worked at the University’s immigration clinic, assisting individuals seeking asylum by conducting client interviews and preparing asylum applications. The experience strengthened his legal writing, advocacy, and client counseling skills while reinforcing the importance of understanding each client's unique circumstances.

Before law school, Parker earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah and worked as an energy consultant, conducting audits of large industrial facilities and developing recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. That experience gave him firsthand exposure to how companies operate, solve technical problems, and evaluate business decisions. Today, it helps him understand both the engineering and business considerations that often shape intellectual property strategies and disputes.

Parker enjoys the variety of working across different industries and views intellectual property law as a unique opportunity to engage with the ideas and technologies shaping the future. His engineering background helps him communicate effectively with technical teams, understand how engineers approach problems, and break down complex issues to see how they work. He believes the best solutions come from appreciating the technical, business, and legal considerations that shape a client’s decisions.

Away from the office, Parker enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it's camping, hiking, or following his favorite sports teams, he is always looking for his next adventure.
