Matt believes in innovation and using the law to move things forward. His practice primarily focuses on complex IP and commercial litigation and post-grant proceedings, with additional experience supporting clients in developing patent and trademark portfolios.

In law school, Matt was a senior editor on the Utah Law Review and a legal writing teaching assistant, interned for the Honorable Judge Ryan Harris at the Utah Court of Appeals, and received a Quinney Fellowship for outstanding legal research and writing. Matt also won Best Brief in the Utah Giles S. Rich IP Moot Court Competition and earned the CALI Award for highest grade in Trademark & Unfair Competition Law. 

As an undergraduate student, Matt studied biology, chemistry, and English rhetoric, and also worked as a certified professional ski instructor at Deer Valley Resort.
