Teresa is an IP and complex commercial litigator with experience managing high-stakes life sciences and technology disputes. She has represented clients in disputes involving a range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biologic drug products, communications, autonomous vehicle software, and mechanical patents. Teresa handles every phase of the litigation lifecycle, working closely with clients to conduct exhaustive fact investigations, craft offensive and defensive case strategies, and manage matters through pleadings, discovery, and trial. Leveraging her technical background in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, she bridges the gap between complex science and the law to deliver persuasive legal arguments.
Before joining Maschoff Brennan, Teresa practiced IP and commercial litigation at a large international law firm in Palo Alto. She also worked at an IP boutique in Toronto, Canada advising clients on patent strategy and enforcement.
Teresa is licensed to practice law in California and Ontario, Canada. She earned her J.D. and her M.Sc. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto, and her B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Waterloo.
