Ashley Fink

Ashley Fink is an associate in Maschoff Brennan's litigation practice, where she works with clients on a wide range of intellectual property disputes.

Ashley earned her J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she also earned an Intellectual Property Law Certificate. During law school she served as an editor of the Utah Law Review, was Vice President of the Student IP Law Association (SIPLA), and worked as a legal writing teaching assistant.

Before law school, Ashley graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University with a degree in Environmental Conservation Biology. She then worked for an environmental consulting firm, where she gained firsthand experience supporting business operations and working with organizations facing complex regulatory and operational challenges. That experience gave her an early appreciation for the challenges businesses encounter as they grow, innovate, and adapt.

Ashley was drawn to intellectual property law because it offered a way to combine her interest in science, technology, and problem solving. While her academic background is in biology, she enjoys the breadth of intellectual property work and the opportunity to learn about new industries, technologies, and businesses. What she finds most rewarding is advocating for creators, innovators, brands, entrepreneurs, and technology companies as they build, grow, and protect their intellectual property. She is particularly interested in supporting Utah's diverse innovation community and is excited about staying actively involved in efforts that connect students, entrepreneurs, and intellectual property professionals throughout the state.
