Maschoff Brennan Attorneys Named to Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite

Maschoff Brennan is thrilled to announce that three of our attorneys have been selected as Utah Business magazine’s 2022 Utah Legal Elite, a listing of the top lawyers in Utah, nominated by their peers through a statewide voting process.

Recognized for their work in Intellectual Property were:

Rick Gilmore – Rick is an expert in all aspects of intellectual property law, focusing on patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution domestically and internationally. His patent practice includes utility and design patents, appeals to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Board of Appeals and Interferences, and reexamination proceedings. He represents large and small clients from a diverse range of industries and often works directly with in-house counsel to develop and maintain their worldwide patent and trademark portfolios.

Kirk Harris – Kirk serves as managing partner of Maschoff Brennan. His practice concentrates on complex business and intellectual property litigation, including patents, trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, contracts, unfair business practices, and copyrights. He also has widespread experience representing clients in a variety of situations, such as arbitrations, mediations, settlement negotiations, and contract and licensing negotiations.

Brian Parke – Brian manages and prosecutes world-wide patent portfolios in the electrical and software arts, including analog and digital circuits, semiconductors, wireless communications, and client-server systems. He also has extensive experience in providing technical litigation support preparing opinions on patentability, non-infringement, validity, and invalidity as well as experience handling post-grant review proceedings, including inter-partes reviews and reexamination proceedings.
