Parisa Jorjani is a patent litigator and registered patent attorney with over 25 years of experience litigating high-stakes patent disputes and technology matters. Parisa has substantial experience representing clients in the life sciences, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical devices, regularly representing clients in the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and domestic and international arbitral fora. She has represented clients in a variety of patent and technology disputes, including patent infringement matters, Hatch-Waxman litigation, technology licensing disputes, inter partes proceedings, post grant reviews, and interferences.

Parisa leverages her technical background in chemical engineering to tackle the most technically complex cases, working closely with clients and experts in the field to devise winning strategies from prefiling through trial and appeal. Parisa’s experience spans high-stakes life sciences disputes including those involving CRISPR-based methods, PCR-based technologies, monoclonal antibodies, small molecules, and the gut microbiome, as well as technology matters involving video decoding, digital cameras, and gaming technology.

Parisa earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Before joining Maschoff Brennan, Parisa practiced for 25 years as a patent litigator at a large law firm in San Francisco. She is licensed to practice before the USPTO.

Outside of work, Parisa enjoys playing tennis with her two young sons, growing fruits and vegetables in her garden, and cooking. She is also proficient in Farsi.
