Kim and Zheng Join Maschoff Brennan

Intellectual property and complex litigation law firm Maschoff Brennan welcomed Do Te Kim and Jamie Zheng as Of Counsel attorneys.

Kim’s practice focuses on U.S. and foreign application preparation and prosecution, specifically in computer-related technologies including networking and networking protocols and layer 7 applications.  Kim also counsels clients on developing patent portfolios.  He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.  He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Alabama and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Before joining Maschoff Brennan, Kim worked at law firms in California, Alabama and Washington and most recently at Intellectual Ventures in Korea.  Kim is admitted to practice in Washington, California and Washington D.C. and registered to practice with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Kim works in the firm’s Salt Lake office.

Zheng assists clients on patent prosecution, patent due diligence, intellectual property litigation, patent portfolio management and technology licensing. She received her J.D. from Santa Clara University Law School. She also has a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University, and an M.S. and B.S. in physics from Wuhan University in China.

Prior to joining Maschoff Brennan, Zheng had her own practice and also worked for Rambus, Inc., Accelergy Corporation and Dorsey and Whitney. Zheng holds a number of patents as an inventor and has authored several publications.  Zheng is admitted to practice in the State of California.
