Attorney at Law Associate

Paxton assists clients with complex and IP litigation needs including patent, trademark, and copyright infringements as well as trade secret misappropriation cases. Prior to joining Maschoff Brennan, Paxton clerked for Associate Chief Justice Thomas R. Lee on the Utah Supreme Court. She also worked with Professor Jorge Contreras from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, co-writing an article on patent working requirements in India.

Paxton has committed to two additional clerkships—one with Judge Kent A. Jordan on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and one with Judge Todd M. Hughes on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Along with his duties as a federal appellate judge, Judge Jordan participates as a district court judge for patent suits in the District of Delaware. Paxton has committed to be Judge Jordan’s patent clerk. Her unique clerkship with Judge Jordan will provide Paxton with exposure to federal appellate litigation as well as patent trial litigation.

Outside of the office, Paxton enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, and skydiving.
