Paul’s practice focuses on client counseling and patent prosecution in a variety of technical fields. His practice includes all areas of patent prosecution (both domestically and abroad), as well as patent validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions. He works on patents dealing with a variety of technologies in the optical, electrical, mechanical, and software fields.

During law school, Paul served as a staff member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal. As an undergraduate, he conducted research and helped develop software modeling the zero-doppler fluorescence spectrum in a potassium lidar. He also taught various physics laboratories at Utah State University.
