Mike Howell

Attorney at Law Associate

Mike joined Maschoff Brennan after working at a Salt Lake City law firm and as in-house counsel at a Texas real estate company. He also completed a clerkship with United States District Judge David Nuffer in the District of Utah. Mike’s practice focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. He has participated in numerous trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Mike also has litigation experience regarding patents, trademarks, breach of contract, receiverships, reorganizations, real estate, and construction.

He graduated as a member of the Order of the Barristers from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as an Executive Editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law. During law school, he won several oral advocacy competitions, culminating in winning the National Championship at the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and being outdoors. He’s an avid mountain biker. He often volunteers his time to help build and maintain local trails.
