Brian is a registered patent attorney with an Electrical Engineering degree. Prior to law school, Brian worked for Micron Technologies developing in-house testing equipment for memory chips using his electrical engineering degree.

Brian’s legal practice focuses on U.S. and Foreign patent application preparation and prosecution in the electrical and optical arts, including analog circuit, digital circuits, wireless communications, semiconductors, software analysis, and optical components and systems. He has also prepared and prosecuted patent applications relating to software systems, mechanical devices, medical devices, and business method.

Along with obtaining patent rights, Brian has experience maintaining those rights in post-grant review proceedings, including inter-partes reviews and reexamination proceedings. Brian also has particular experience preparing opinions of patentability, non-infringement, validity, and invalidity.

Brian enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children. He also enjoys backpacking, canyoneering, skiing, and boating.
