Brent Johnson is a shareholder in the firm’s Orange County office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. Areas of practice include patent prosecution, BPAI post grant proceedings, IP due diligence, and client counseling, particularly in the areas of pharmaceutical technologies, medical devices and other chemistry-related technology.

Prior to joining Maschoff Brennan, Dr. Johnson practiced as a partner at a global law firm. Prior to that, he worked as a patent agent at Allergan, Inc., where he drafted and prosecuted small molecule and formulation patent applications related to drug development. Before working as a patent agent, he was a research chemist at Pilot Chemical Company.
